Founded in 1983, and after a successful start, Kirkland + Associates Architects, P.C. refocused its design interest. With a new purpose and direction, the firm added two talented architects, Laura Potts and Karin Green. With Pat at the helm and custom residential design on her mind, the team of three architects combined creative forces to design multi-million dollar, private residences throughout Atlanta. The majority of their custom work is for native Atlanta residents in exclusive suburban developments, second homes along Florida’s coast, Georgia and North Carolina’s scenic mountain homes and various locales throughout the Southeast. Their extraordinary homes have been featured in Atlanta Homes & Lifestyles magazine and showcased in the Sugarloaf Country Club Holiday Tour of Homes, as the 2008 Atlanta Magazine Dream Home and as the DIY Network Blog Cabin 2009 in Asheville, North Carolina.

Sugarloaf

Over the past 12 years I have had the distinct pleasure of working with Kirkland + Associates Architects, P.C., (K+A), in a variety of development and architectural roles at Windward (Mobil Land Development Corp.) and Sugarlaof Country Club (Crescent Resources, Inc.) in Atlanta, Georgia.

K+A, under the expert leadership of Pat Kirkland, were in the forefront of innovation in each of these communities.  When Windward needed to react to new market demands, K+A created a dynamic new product that was an instant sales success.  When we were tasked with starting up Sugarloaf Country Club, we immediately turned to Pat and his team.

Under Pat's direction our architectural philosophies and guidelines were memorialized and instituted within budget and ahead of schedule.  This responsiviness is a hallmark of Kirkland + Associates, P.C., and was critical to our achievement and our sustaining #1 position in Atlanta luzury community sales and recongnition.

Perhaps the singular greatest attribute of the K+A team, and in particular, Pat Kirkland, is their excellent communications skills.  Their firm LISTENS to the customer...then executes.  At the same time, they are strong enough in their convictions to lead when the occasion presents itself.

Needless to say, we place enormous value on K+A's contributions and have entrusted our major investment into their capable hands.

Eagle Ranch

Pat Kirkland & Associates recently completed the architecturals for the first girls' home at Eagle Ranch.  The design and function of this home is especially critical given that many other children's homes throughout the country will use it as a model for their respective campuses.

In working with Pat and his two associates, Karin Green and Laura Patts, I have found that they have been able to blend, with professionalism, my desires for this home with their depth of knowledge, creativity, and experience in the architectural field.  In the past, I have been involved with some architectural firms that were more predisposed toward pushing their agenda for how a building should look as opposed to earnestly trying to incorporate my desires toward that end.

I can honestly say that the Kirkland team members were excellent listeners who asked the right questions as I described my plans and very patient as they executed the drawings and amended different aspects as neccessary.

I would give Pat and his associates a very high recommendation to anyone who wants excellent architectural services.

Suburban Lodge

I have known Pat Kirkland for nearly 15 years, during which time he has been the architect for my company.  Over these years, Pat's firm has provided architectural services on over seventy-five hotel projects for both our company and our franchisees, and he continues to do so today.  Over the years I have grown to enjoy working with Pat for many reasons, but most of all because of his willingness to take "ownership" of a project and see it throught to the very end no matter what the difficulties that may be encountered, ofter dealing with issues that were not the "responsibility" of the architect.  Pat is honest and hard working and has always exemplified the true professional.  As a result of our working relationship, Pat and I have become good friends.  I strongly recommend Pat's services to anybody who might consider his architectural firm.
