For years, Chris Young and his wife renovated homes throughout historic neighborhoods in Atlanta. During that time, Chris was designing and selling highend women's apparel with an office and showroom in New York City. Tiring of the continuing commute between Atlanta and new York, he decided in 1999 to turn his love of homes into a business. The first renovation as a business was in Ansley Park. It was featured on HGTV, Homes Across America, in May of 2002. One other project was selected by the Atlanta Journal Constitution and featured in the Home Section.
Today the passion for great design that creates value is still the hallmarrk of HouseSmith, whether it is bathrooms, kitchens, or whole house renovations and additions. It is a collaborate effort with clients to interpret their needs and wants while providing the highest quality and reasonable prices. Kim and Scott Kim and Scott were interested in renovating their North Buckhead ranch. "It became quickly apparent that the basement would never serve the needs of a modern American family. After discussing the situation with Chris, we made the decision to tear down the existing structure and start anew. This was no easy or small decision on our part with family considerations! Chris chose an excellent architect who provided a wonderful set of plans that worked contextually with the other homes in the neighborhood.
